The Alava Provincial Council has approved an investment of 43.2 million euros under the Provincial Plan for Works and Services, aimed at strengthening public infrastructure and services throughout the territory.

These grants will fund projects promoted by town halls and administrative boards across Araba. The initiative seeks to modernize local facilities and improve the quality of life in rural areas, promoting territorial balance.
Key projects include sports facilities, such as the new changing room building for the swimming pools in Alegría-Dulantzi and the construction of the sports center in Oion. Funding is also allocated for the day center in Labastida.
The plan also prioritizes basic services and sanitation. Works will be carried out on the wastewater network in Gopegi, Zigoitia, the urbanization of Gereñu, and the installation of a new treatment plant in Antoñana.
The Provincial Plan, alongside the Fofel fund, serves as one of the main economic cooperation mechanisms of the Alava Provincial Council to ensure quality public services for municipalities with limited budgets.
