The Minister called for prudence to properly close the operation, but also released significant new data.

Jauregi emphasized that this agreement would lead to the creation of 400 new jobs in Aiaraldea and an investment of between 80 and 85 million euros. This would secure the future of one of the largest industrial facilities in the region. The Minister mentioned the complex negotiations that have been ongoing for months to reach agreements between the different parties.
To finalize the operation, eight pre-agreements, which are interdependent, must be signed. The pre-agreements corresponding to the Basque Government and the Provincial Council of Álava have already been signed. Jauregi urged all other parties to act responsibly and finalize their respective pre-agreements, as the industrial future of Aiaraldea deserves it.
The Vocento group leaked the news of the potential agreement on the morning of April 7, and Aiaraldea Komunikabideak has been able to confirm the information. According to this, the companies VSF and Gaviota are behind the operation, along with the businessman Javier Garcia Marquez.
