The El Boulevard shopping center in Vitoria-Gasteiz has launched the “Practica la InteligencIA Generacional” campaign, coinciding with the European Day of Solidarity and Cooperation between Generations on April 29.

This initiative aims to promote intergenerational collaboration and reinforce the role of shopping centers as urban life hubs and social connection spaces. It also highlights projects such as the Bizihabi program by the Basque Government, which has already generated over 15,800 nights of intergenerational coexistence.
In Euskadi, this campaign, driven by CBRE's management within its “Caring for Communities” program, will be implemented in the Zubiarte, Ballonti, Bilbondo, and El Boulevard shopping centers.

"At a time when artificial intelligence is gaining prominence, true value also lies in the knowledge that arises from dialogue and relationships between people of different ages."

Under the concept of “Generational Intelligence,” the campaign proposes a current reflection: in an era where artificial intelligence is gaining prominence, true value also resides in the knowledge that emerges from dialogue and relationships between people of different ages. To encourage this reflection, the public of all ages is invited to participate in a fun interactive “Generational Intelligence Quotient” test, designed to spark conversation and highlight the connection between generations in a dynamic and engaging way.
Through this campaign, the four Basque centers aim to support and disseminate the Bizihabi program, promoted by the Basque Government and managed by Kuvu, which fosters coexistence between seniors and young people through a shared housing model. Bizihabi connects individuals over 65 with available rooms with young people seeking accommodation, creating relationships based on trust, mutual support, and shared benefits. Since its launch in 2023, the program has facilitated over 50 intergenerational cohabitations, translating into more than 15,800 nights in company, contributing to reducing unwanted loneliness and improving emotional well-being.
Throughout May, the campaign will extend to physical spaces with information points set up in the shopping centers managed by CBRE in Euskadi. These points will recreate a domestic environment to bring the project closer to the public. The action dates will be:
- Week of May 4: Zubiarte
- Week of May 11: Bilbondo
- Week of May 18: Ballonti
- Week of May 25: El Boulevard de Vitoria-Gasteiz (Plaza Nodal)
In addition to raising awareness and promoting intergenerational collaboration, the initiative seeks to attract new users to the Bizihabi program, strengthening its social impact and expanding its reach in the territory. During these weeks, from Thursday to Saturday, Kuvu staff will be present to provide guidance on this project from 12:00 to 14:00 and from 16:30 to 20:30.
