The first event, scheduled for 11:00 at the City Hall, will introduce the IX edition of the Barrel Race. Attendees will include Sonia Díaz de Corchera, councilor for Culture and Education; Arantxa Ibañez de Opacua, Director of Fundación Vital Fundazioa; Javier Elejalde, representing Vitoria-Gasteiz Wine City; and Eduardo Pascual Alútiz from Bodegas Alútiz. A traditional toast and photograph with the barrels will take place beforehand at 10:30.
Following this, at 11:30, the Green Capital and Virgen Blanca pelota tournaments will be presented at the Arkabia Cultural Center (C/ Postas, 13). Speakers will include Ana López de Uralde, Councilor for Sport; Arantxa Ibáñez de Opakua, Director of Fundación Vital Fundazioa; Eduardo Lobato, Vice President of the Alava Basque Pelota Federation; and Mikel Rafael, Technical Director of the same federation.
