A barbershop in Vitoria-Gasteiz has earned a strong reputation among professional players from the Alavés and Baskonia teams, known for its personalized cuts and quality service.

In a modern barbershop on Los Herrán street, with urban music playing in the background, several young people await their turn. In this youth-oriented establishment, barbers perform precise cuts, fades, and beard trims. At first glance, it doesn't differ from any other modern barbershop in Vitoria-Gasteiz, except for one detail: it's common to see players from Alavés or Baskonia sitting there just hours before competing.
A young barber, 24 years old, has made a name for himself in the city, not only among regular clients but also among professional athletes. His journey began in Tetuán at the age of 14, before moving to Vitoria-Gasteiz, where part of his family already resided. The beginnings were challenging, but with effort and patience, the business flourished.

"My calling was always barbering, and since I saw a future in it, I jumped in without thinking twice."

The barbershop, named Barberman, opened its doors in 2022, a project he shares with his brother. The leap into the sports world came unexpectedly. His first contact was with a player from Eibar, but the real turning point came through the youth players of Alavés. They recommended his services to the first team players, who then began to frequent the establishment.
This relationship often extends beyond the barbershop, fostering bonds of trust. Part of his work also takes place outside the premises, traveling to team hotels when they visit the city. Most of these contacts come from recommendations, with word-of-mouth among players remaining his best calling card. One of the most special moments of his career was when he received a message from footballer Lamine Yamal.

"It was one of my greatest achievements. I was very happy and excited. He was very kind, we had a good time, and most importantly, he liked the haircut."

Over the years, this recognition has materialized into physical mementos, such as signed jerseys from players. He owns about fifty, which represent the appreciation for his work. However, his greatest pride lies in the journey taken and the growth of the business, always prioritizing client satisfaction.
