The Local Police of Vitoria-Gasteiz arrested a 48-year-old man yesterday morning as the alleged perpetrator of a vehicle break-in crime, after locating him with stolen items and tools presumably used to force open cars.

The arrest occurred shortly after 7:00 AM, when a patrol conducting citizen security duties was called by the Operations Center to a garage in Plaza del Renacimiento. There, a citizen had reported being a victim of a robbery inside her vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers confirmed that it was not an isolated incident and observed that more vehicles had been affected. Given the situation, they requested the presence of investigative agents to conduct the corresponding ocular inspection.
While awaiting the arrival of investigative personnel, police officers saw a man known for similar incidents exiting one of the area's portals. Upon noticing the police presence, he tried to quicken his pace to avoid them.
After being intercepted, officers found stolen items and tools among his belongings that he had allegedly used to force open the vehicles, leading to his arrest.
