Machete Square is confirmed to be one of the central stages for the Vitoria-Gasteiz Festivals of 2026, with a series of concerts scheduled from August 5th to 8th. Each evening at 11:00 PM, the square will host performances by LA TXAMA, Olaia Inziarte, PIL.T, and SUA, showcasing a program focused on Basque sounds and alternative musical styles.
This lineup complements the previously announced schedule for the Plaza de los Fueros, which will feature major free concerts for La Blanca between August 3rd and 8th. Thus, Vitoria-Gasteiz is already shaping two of its main musical venues for next summer's festivities.
LA TXAMA will kick off the Machete Square program on August 5th. This group, composed of members linked to bands such as Chill Mafia, Skakeitan, and Esne Beltza, will bring a blend of corridos and rancheras with contemporary electronic beats. The following day, August 6th, will feature Olaia Inziarte, who will make her only open-air performance in major cities this summer in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
On August 7th, PIL.T, the alternative metal band formed in Mungia in the early 90s, will return to the stage with a powerful and eclectic sound. The closing act on August 8th will be SUA, the alternative rock and indie band from Maruri, presenting their third album, Bide Ilunek Argitzen Zuten Dena, as they continue to solidify their presence in the Basque music scene and beyond.
The Plaza de los Fueros has already confirmed six nights of concerts, running from August 3rd to 8th, including the pre-festival day. The lineup includes Iñaki Palacios (August 3rd), Etzakit (August 4th), Leire Martínez (August 5th), Soziedad Alkoholika (August 6th), Neomak (August 7th), and Celtas Cortos (August 8th). This stage is known for attracting some of the largest crowds during the festivals.
