The 14 civic centers and 6 municipal sports facilities in Vitoria-Gasteiz have joined the LGBTI+ Points Sarea network, establishing safe spaces and support protocols against potential aggression.

This initiative aims to ensure respectful environments for the LGBTI+ community within public facilities. The centers now feature visible signage at their entrances, allowing users to easily identify these safe havens.
Staff members have been provided with action guidelines agreed upon with the Ertzaintza to handle discrimination incidents. These protocols prioritize remaining calm, respecting the victim's account, and contacting emergency services when necessary.
Currently, Vitoria-Gasteiz has over one hundred participating locations, with more than 130 across the province of Araba. Across the Basque Country, nearly 800 spaces have already joined this network dedicated to equality.
