The Local Government Board of Vitoria-Gasteiz has approved the declaration of desertion for the public attention, access control, and sports activities contract, valued at 907,440.04 euros, including VAT. Municipal sources have confirmed that "the service will not close".
The City Council will now open another procedure to seek a company that can take over the management. The contract included user assistance, entry control, and the sports activities conducted at the climbing walls.
The service remains linked to Prisma Global Servicios y Proyectos S.L., which was awarded the contract in June 2024. The new procedure aims to replace this company in the management of the municipal climbing walls.

This decision comes after months of labor conflict. The staff had reported delays in salary payments, issues with equipment, and a lack of training for tasks integral to the service.
The City Council had already urged Prisma Global to fulfill its labor obligations. In October, following staff complaints, the municipal government warned that it could open a sanctioning file and even terminate the contract if the situation did not improve.
