Around 20 representatives from various member associations, including Sareen Sarea, Hirukide, EAPN, Elkartean, and Harresiak Apurtuz, attended the meeting held today in Lakua. Additionally, Begoña Besada was introduced as the new Director for the Promotion of the Social Third Sector and Community Action of the Basque Government.
During today's session, advancements of the new Third Sector Promotion Strategy (EPTSSE) were presented. Discussions also covered the Call for Aid to the Third Sector.
Furthermore, the Call for Best Practices Awards in Age-Friendliness 2026 was introduced. This award aims to recognize initiatives that enhance the quality of life for older adults and contribute to creating more accessible and inclusive environments. The award includes a gross financial endowment of 3,000 euros, which is compatible with other grants or subsidies.
