An Ertzaintza rescue helicopter airlifted a 58-year-old hiker who fell in the Gorbeia Natural Park on Sunday.

A hiker injured in the Gorbeia Natural Park was rescued by an Ertzaintza helicopter this Sunday afternoon. SOS Deiak 112 received the alert around 2:15 PM: a 58-year-old hiker of Spanish nationality had fallen while descending from Gorbeia towards the Murua quarries.
As a result of the fall, the woman was unable to continue, reportedly suffering a suspected ankle fracture.
