The Gasteiz Talent program has organized two concerts in April in Vitoria-Gasteiz, in collaboration with the Municipal Music Band and students from the Jesús Guridi Conservatory, aiming to foster young musical talent in the city.

On April 17th and 24th, young musicians from Vitoria-Gasteiz will showcase their skills alongside the Municipal Music Band. These events will take place at the Jesús Guridi Music Conservatory, starting at 7:30 PM, with free admission until the main hall reaches full capacity.
The first event, named Gasteiz Talent I, on April 17th, will feature conservatory students performing as soloists. This artistic endeavor will be directed by Iker Olazabal, the Band's assistant director, and will present a high-technical-level repertoire with instruments such as saxophone, clarinet, txistu, flute, and bassoon.

"If we want to ensure that local talent has continuity, we must promote and nurture it. Gasteiz Talent gives young people the opportunity to learn with the Vitoria-Gasteiz Municipal Music Band. Conservatory students rehearse and perform alongside a professional group, which is a very enriching musical and personal experience for these future music professionals."

Sonia Díaz de Corcuera · Councillor for Culture and Education
The second concert, Gasteiz Talent II, will be held on April 24th under the direction of Luis Orduña, director of the Municipal Band. On this occasion, the conservatory bands will integrate with the professional ensemble. The first part will be dedicated to film music, featuring themes such as Accidentally in Love, You’ll Be in My Heart, Forrest Gump, Raiders March, Mission: Impossible Theme, and Jurassic Park Theme. The second part will include original pieces for symphonic band, such as Ireland, of legend and lore, Choralia, and Suite Galaica.

"The Conservatory appreciates the opportunity that the Vitoria-Gasteiz Municipal Music Band annually provides us with this project, which complements the activity of our teachers, both individually and in groups, with the possibility of experiencing the daily life of a professional ensemble."

Ibon Zamacola · Deputy Director of the Jesús Guridi Music Conservatory
This initiative, now in its sixth edition, merges academic training with professional experience, offering young people a unique opportunity to develop in the musical field.
