The Ertzaintza identified three individuals in the Errekaleor neighborhood of Vitoria-Gasteiz last night, as part of a preventive operation to avoid violent confrontations.

The intervention took place around three-thirty in the morning in a field in this area of Gasteiz. Officers observed three people in a vigilant stance, with their faces covered and wearing helmets and gloves.
Alongside them were approximately thirty sacks and backpacks filled with stones, 11 sticks and baseball bats, as well as wooden planks prepared as protective shields. All this material has been confiscated.
The officers identified two men, aged 24 and 31, and a woman, aged 26, all of Spanish nationality, according to the information released by the Ertzaintza.
The intervention occurs after several days of tension in Errekaleor. The neighborhood has reported attempts to enter homes by individuals linked to the former URSSA factory and a nighttime attack with sticks, iron bars, and stones that left one person hospitalized with skull fractures, according to the version disseminated by Errekaleor.
The Ertzaintza and the Basque Government have rejected the collective's accusations about a supposed diversion of people to the neighborhood, while the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council has announced it will legally analyze the situation following the altercations registered in the area.
