The San Andrés Sports Center in Vitoria-Gasteiz is celebrating its 20th anniversary this Friday, September 25th, with a special event from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, featuring various sports demonstrations and activities.

Marking two decades, the San Andrés Sports Center aims to share its anniversary celebration with the public. The event will center on sports, featuring demonstrations from various clubs and opportunities for citizen participation.
Miren Fernández de Landa, councilor for Open Government and Civic Centers, has encouraged citizens to visit San Andrés. "Reaching 20 years is a cause for celebration, but also an opportunity to recognize everyone who has made this sports center a vibrant, open, and active space over these two decades," she stated.
The program will unfold across different areas of the facility. In the main pool, the synchronized swimming club Urdantza will present an exhibition from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a chance for attendees to swim with the club members. From 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the Nereida Sub club will conduct an underwater hockey demonstration and offer participation.
The small pool will host an aquagym session from 5:40 PM to 6:20 PM. The main court will be active from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with badminton activities alongside the Arriaga Club and table tennis with the Gasteiz Club, as well as pickleball, circuits, and indiakas.
The outdoor basketball court will feature a zumba session from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, followed by stretching. The padel courts will host a tournament with short matches lasting 15 to 20 minutes. Registration must be done in person at the sports center.
Fernández de Landa emphasized that "the program precisely reflects what we want an anniversary to be: a diverse, participatory celebration for all ages, where everyone can find an activity that interests them."
The anniversary celebration also includes a photographic exhibition showcasing the clubs that train at San Andrés, offering a visual insight into the sports activities and the work of these resident clubs.
