The bar H2O, situated on Oyón street 28 in the Zabalgana neighborhood of Vitoria-Gasteiz, has just received a Guía Repsol Solete. This gastronomic recognition is directly driven by the recommendation of the well-known actress and comedian Sara Escudero, who has publicly confessed that this establishment is her favorite spot and a mandatory stop every time she visits the Alava region.
The specialty that has completely conquered the comedian's palate is, without a doubt, its potato and onion tortilla pintxo. For Escudero, this bite is unparalleled: "There are many bars and restaurants in the country where they make incredible ones, but H2O is a mandatory stop when I go up to Vitoria. They are spectacular! And the bread they serve, the treatment...", she enthusiastically assures, praising not only the culinary offering but also the immense warmth and service of the establishment's staff.
A relationship of humor and affection with Vitoria-Gasteiz Sara Escudero's "love affair" with Vitoria-Gasteiz is not a casual occurrence and goes far beyond good food, as the multifaceted artist has an extensive career on the capital's stages.
Her performances are numerous, but perhaps those most remembered by the local public were her participation in the Humor Corner of the Virgen Blanca Festivals in 2018. In March, four new establishments from Alava were added to the list of Guía Repsol Soletes. In that edition, designed to guide travelers during spring and Easter week, the jury recognized the quality and charm of proposals located both in the capital and in the Llanada Alavesa region.
The new recipients of the yellow distinctive were Caserío Marutegi (Asparrena), Chapoo and Colmado Los Manueles (both in Vitoria-Gasteiz), and Zerua (Agurain). These establishments are integrated into a network that in the Basque Country now reaches 402 Soletes, after the addition of 18 new distinctions in that edition.
