This year, Vitoria-Gasteiz's Book Days, scheduled from April 13 to 23, will move all their sessions to the Montehermoso cultural center, the new venue for this initiative promoted by the Municipal Library Network. The program will feature prominent figures from Basque and Spanish literature, alongside sessions dedicated to inclusion and memory.
One of the main events will be held by Bernardo Atxaga on April 14, where he will present his latest project, Enarak. This special session will combine texts and images to discuss his creative process. Additionally, on April 22, historian Mikel Soto will present his essay Mirande, herriminez, ezin-minez, about Jon Mirande, in an interview led by Miel Anjel Elustondo.
In the Spanish literature section, Nativel Preciado will open the cycle on April 13 with her novel El pan de mis hijos. On April 16, writer Lorenzo Silva will discuss his extensive literary career and his latest work, Con nadie, alongside Naiara Lopez de Munain. Furthermore, on April 15, Laura Perez Vernetti will explore the challenges women face in the comic industry, presenting her work La venus de los tacones.
The program will also address themes of inclusion and memory. On April 21, the duo of Javier Alcazar and Manu Arroyal will present an easy-to-read adaptation of the book La edad de la ira. Finally, on April 23, the Martxoak 3 association will award the prizes for the M3moria Letrak competition, coinciding with the eve of the 50th anniversary of the 1976 events. All sessions will begin at 6:30 PM.
In addition to these talks, from April 13 to 23, all network libraries will create collective murals where users can share their reading suggestions.
