The Baskonia basketball club has been selected to ignite the rocket that will mark the beginning of the La Blanca 2026 festivities in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Each year, a municipal group proposes the individual, group, or association to start the celebrations, and this year the PNV municipal group made the selection.

Team representatives will light the fuse of the firecracker on August 4th at 6:00 PM from the Virgen Blanca square. Following the launch, Celedón will descend from the San Miguel tower to officially open the Vitoria-Gasteiz celebrations.
