Mayors and councilors from EH Bildu held a joint press conference yesterday at Laudio train station to demand a "modern, safe, accessible, and dignified" train service on the C-3 line.

Mayors and councilors from EH Bildu representing municipalities on the C-3 line held a joint press conference yesterday at the Laudio train station. They called for a "modern, safe, accessible, and dignified" service and announced an "institutional and social dynamic" to address the issue.
Ainize Gastaka and Maite Ibarr a spoke at the event. The mayors of Laudio and Arrigorriaga presented several specific demands: "Guarantee punctual and reliable trains, reinstate the Gau Jaia service and extend it to all weekends, ensure universal accessibility at all stations and on all trains, make a strong investment in infrastructure, launch modern and comfortable trains, install restrooms on trains and at stations, resolve security issues at the stops in Basauri, Laudio, and Luiando, and implement noise reduction measures in neighborhoods adjacent to the railway line".
Both representatives emphasized that dignified public transport is a "citizen's right" and highlighted that the C3 is not "just a train line" but a basic infrastructure that "thousands of people use to go to work, study, access health services, or enjoy leisure activities".
In light of this, EH Bildu members will launch a dynamic initiative from now on, "with various actions to denounce the situation and demand improvements." In their opinion, changes will come "through social and institutional pressure".
