The Añana Rural Area and the Basque Government have signed a collaboration agreement to launch the first GAZ service in the Añana region, aiming to promote youth emancipation and autonomy.

This initiative seeks to support young people in their emancipation processes and decentralize public youth resources within the region. The new service will be located at the headquarters of the Añana Rural Area in Rivabellosa, offering free, personalized face-to-face support to individuals aged 16 to 34 who reside, study, or work in the area, as well as those planning to establish their lives there.
GAZ Añana will address the specific needs of rural youth in key areas such as housing, employment, mobility, connectivity, and access to public services. It will provide information, guidance, advice, and intermediation regarding housing, employment, training, entrepreneurship, and social resources, aiming to foster realistic and sustainable emancipation pathways within the region.
The agreement, valid for two years from its signing, includes a budget of 178,000 euros from the Basque Government (89,000 euros annually) to fund the service's operations. With this addition, GAZ Añana joins the existing network of GAZ offices in Enkarterri, Barakaldo, Bilbao, Vitoria-Gasteiz, and Donostia-San Sebastián.
