Zarautz will once again host live music with the ADARRETATIK 2026 Music Festival, from October 2nd to 4th. The festival, which has had the support and collaboration of ZUZEU since its inception, aims to bring together different musical expressions, create meeting points between artists and the public, and strengthen the presence of musical culture in Zarautz.
This year, the program has particularly sought to enhance the presence and prominence of women. Two-thirds of the lineup consists of proposals led by women, providing greater visibility to female creators, musicians, and artists. In total, there will be nine musical offerings, all free of charge.
The festival will kick off on Friday, October 2nd, with the group NHIL at Musika Plaza, blending organic pop, soul, R&B, and funk. In the evening, at the main stage of Malekoiko Duke Enea, the historic group El Inquilino Comunista will bring their indie rock and noise-pop sound, and the trio Gailu will mix Basque roots with contemporary sounds.
On Saturday, October 3rd, the Odol Gaztea Brass Band will liven up the town's streets with music and rhythm at midday. In the afternoon, the San Sebastián band La Ola Maldita will bring surf, rock and roll, and garage music to Surtidor Kafetegia. Saturday night at the Malekoiko Duke Enea stage will feature two acts: first, Patricia Reckless with The Cherry Boppers will offer a powerful live performance blending jazz, soul, and funk; followed by Brigitte Emaga with Soundara Collective from Barcelona, with a joyful and danceable proposal of soul, funk, and disco music. The night will conclude with DJ Chica Tequila at Marina-Txiki, bringing Latin, Northern Soul, funk, and tropical rhythms.
On Sunday, October 4th, the quartet Femmm Vocal Jazz will conclude the ninth edition at Musika Plaza, featuring vocal harmonies between jazz and pop. In case of very good weather, the performance would take place at Malekoia.
ADARRETATIK offers different ways of understanding and experiencing music, while also activating various spaces in Zarautz and reaching diverse audiences. The organizers invite residents, music fans from surrounding towns, and visitors to experience ADARRETATIK from October 2nd to 4th, offering a culturally rich weekend in Zarautz.
