The Zumaia City Council has once again launched a 5,000 euro grant call to support initiatives by young people aged 18 to 30, with each selected project receiving a maximum of 2,000 euros.

The aim of this call is to protect the interests and passions of young people, allowing projects from various fields to be submitted. These include leisure-related initiatives, audiovisual productions, entrepreneurship projects, scientific research, proposals linked to new technologies, and the editing of cultural publications such as comics and fanzines.
The grants are aimed at young people from Zumaia, who can participate individually or in groups. In last year's edition, for example, two audiovisual projects received municipal support, including an experimental documentary and a short film.
To participate, applicants must submit the application form along with an activity report, a budget of expenses and income for the program to be subsidized, and a declaration regarding applications or grants received from other institutions. Additionally, a sworn statement is required, certifying that they are not disqualified from receiving public subsidies, including prohibitions due to sexual discrimination.
It will also be necessary to specify how the gender perspective and the treatment of the Basque language are incorporated into the projects, particularly in the dissemination of the activity.
