The Zarautz Town Hall has recently released its special event program for the summer season. The San Pelaio festivities have just ended, and with them, a wide summer offering will arrive in the coastal town. This program includes more than 130 events throughout July and August, catering to a diverse audience.
Numerous events have been organized by various municipal departments, such as Tourism, Festivals and Events, Culture, and Sports. Additionally, many will come to fruition thanks to the efforts of local organizations, groups, and festival committees. The program features recurring annual events deeply rooted in Zarautz's summer, including Kalerki, Txaparrotan, Los 40 Summer Live (on July 31st), the weekly Herri-kirolak festivals, the Summer Music Series (Udako Musikaldia), the Sunday Summer Romarias (Udako Erromeriak), the inflatable bull run, the Frontoi Txiki pelota championships, the Bertso Week (Bertso Astea), the Getaria-Zarautz sea crossing, and neighborhood festivals.
Furthermore, new music shows, sports competitions, and markets are added annually to create the most complete program possible. This year, the Zarautz Main Week (Aste Nagusia) will be celebrated from August 14th to 23rd. Among the main events, fireworks displays will take place on August 15th and 16th; first-division pelota matches are scheduled for two Sundays (16th and 23rd), and the Zarautz regattas will be held on the 22nd and 23rd.
Concerts at Maleko are scheduled from August 17th to 22nd, aiming to reach all age groups. Performers will include, among others, Olaia Intziarte, Zeatik Ez, Neomak, Janus Lester, Seguridad Social, and Puro Relajo. To conclude the week, singer Leire Martinez will give the final concert on Saturday, August 22nd.
