The Urola Garaia Vocational School (UGLE), founded in 1996, has become a key driver for regional development through innovative vocational training and corporate collaboration.

Since its establishment in 1996, the Urola Garaia Vocational School (UGLE) has positioned itself as a fundamental project to address the challenges of the Urola Garaia region. Its evolution is a clear example of the progress in Vocational Training, aiming to integrate students into the workforce and provide qualified personnel to companies.
The school's creation stemmed from consensus and collaboration among municipal representatives, members of various political parties, business sector agents, and the La Salle educational institution. Although initially conceived as a post-Compulsory Secondary Education center, it is now part of Euskadi's integrated Vocational Training network, extending its influence beyond the educational sphere.
UGLE offers a comprehensive educational program covering all stages of Vocational Training: basic, intermediate, higher, and specializations. It provides numerous professional families, including welding, commerce, machining, electromechanics, bodywork, automation, mechatronics, automotive, orthoprosthetics, and smart industry.
Recognizing the importance of continuous training, UGLE offers advanced courses for unemployed individuals and workers. To this end, an Innovation department and the UGLE Lab 4.0 laboratory have been created, incorporating technologies from the latest industrial revolution such as artificial intelligence, IoT, data management, virtual reality, and simulation. These resources are brought closer to local companies, offering direct services like the digitalization of production systems and specializations for master's degrees, such as smart manufacturing and cybersecurity in technological operations.

"More than generating knowledge, our challenge is to have the capacity to share and disseminate it. Through continuous training, we become a symbol of innovation and contribute to society. We were born from collaboration, and we continue to advance through collaboration."

Furthermore, UGLE implements the Dual model, where students develop real projects within companies. This not only fosters technical skills but also transversal competencies such as teamwork, autonomy, and resilience. The center collaborates with various companies in the region, including Smartlog Group, Arcelor Mittal, Ulma Forged Solutions, Bellota, and Grupo Riza.
