In Zarautz, the Summer Romerías, organized every Sunday throughout July and August, are proving highly successful for the fourth consecutive year. These events, put on by the City Council, attract a large number of people, including both residents and visitors.
Last Friday, San Ignacio's Day, a special performance took place. The groups Oilar Beltzak & Intxausti eta Larrañaga livened up the afternoon, offering an excellent opportunity for dancing to those in attendance. The Musika Plaza showcased a great atmosphere, as it has on other Sundays, and people greatly appreciate this chance to promote important elements of Basque culture and identity.
Now in August, four more performances have been announced. This Sunday, starting at 7:30 PM, the trio Garixe, Lanberri eta Aldalur will present a romería. There will also be performances on August 9th (Laja, Izer eta Alabier), 23rd (Elustondo anai-arrebak), and 30th (Imanol Astiasaran eta Unai Andonegi).
