Last Saturday saw the finals of the 81st Zarautz Beach Football Championship take place. A total of eleven matches were played across the senior and Eskola Kirola categories. In the Eskola Kirola category, six games were contested, with representation from Iturzaeta Public School in three of them. Despite the poor weather, many residents from Getaria gathered to watch the finals live.

The girls from 5th grade at Iturzaeta were crowned champions. After a 1-1 draw against La Salle, they emerged victorious in the penalty shootout. The boys from 5th grade also secured a win, beating La Salle 3-1 without the need for penalties.

Meanwhile, the boys from 6th grade were unable to clinch victory, losing 6-2 to La Salle.
