As part of the 'Dantzan Ikasi' program, promoted by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, researcher Mikel Sarriegi will deliver a traditional dance seminar in Azpeitia, at the Dinamoa creative center, on May 8th.

The seminar will last two hours, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and aims to support the teaching of traditional dance. The event has been organized with the collaboration of Kulturaz and the Sahatsa Dantza dance group.
Sarriegi will explore the hidden legacy of Gipuzkoa's dance masters, particularly the work of Iztueta and the dance forms known in the Urola region during the last century. During the session, he will attempt to answer questions about the origin of the dances, their evolution, and the reasons for their changes.

"Where do our dances originate? Have we always danced the same way? Can we know when changes occurred? Why did these changes happen?"
