Orio's Kukuarri Week to Begin on May 23 with Talai Mendi Trail Race

The Talai Mendi mountain club has organized a series of activities from May 23 to 31, culminating in Kukuarri Day.

Orio's Kukuarri Week, organized by the Talai Mendi mountain club, will commence on May 23 with the Talai Mendi Trail race and conclude on May 31 with Kukuarri Day.

With the arrival of May, Orio's Talai Mendi mountain club has organized one of its most significant annual events: Kukuarri Week. This year, the event will take place from May 23 to 31, starting with a mountain race and concluding with a mountain excursion.
The activities will kick off with the VI. Talai Mendi Trail mountain race on Saturday, May 23, starting from the Orioko Herri Ikastola. Following this, on Tuesday, May 26, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, a Got orientation challenge will be held, departing from the Talaimendi headquarters (Iturbide street).
Throughout the week, various activities will be offered. On Thursday, May 28, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, there will be a slick-line session at the zip-line park. On Saturday, May 30, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, a climbing session will take place around the church, along with a zip-line from the church to Herriko Plaza.
Kukuarri Week will culminate on Sunday, May 31, with Kukuarri Day. At 9:00 AM, participants will depart from Herriko Plaza towards the summit of Kukuarri. At the top, at 11:00 AM, a religious service will be held, followed by broth and pintxos for the mountaineers.
