The Orio B team achieved promotion from the KAE2 to the KAE1 category last year, but the men have faced a difficult start in the new league, finishing 11th in their first regatta in Astillero.

The first regatta of the season took place this afternoon in Astillero (Spain). In this event, the Orio B team secured the second-to-last position, finishing 11th. Zarautz won the inaugural flag of the season, with the Orio crew clocking a time of 21:48:70, 55.03 seconds behind the winner. Only Arkote finished behind them.
The Orio rowers will have opportunities to improve their results in the upcoming fifteen races. Their next engagement is scheduled for tomorrow in Pasai Donibane (Gipuzkoa), at 12:00 PM. There, KAE1 league crews will compete for the III. Adinberri Bandera, featuring six lengths.
Meanwhile, the EuskoTren and Eusko Label leagues are set to commence next week, on June 28th, in the town of Buitrago de Lozoya, within the Community of Madrid. This is where the Orio men's and women's teams will compete this year.
