The initial stage of the race will cover a distance of 121.2 kilometers, with a positive elevation gain of 2,239 meters and six third-category mountain passes. The starting point will be at the Zarautz boardwalk, as was done in previous years for the men's Itzulia. The finish line will be located on Gipuzkoa street, near the Iñurritza neighborhood, a common site for race finishes.
Prior to the race, a team presentation will be held on Thursday, May 14th, starting at 6:00 PM on the promenade. The local cyclist from Zarautz, Usoa Ostolaza, is expected to be a prominent figure at this event.
