The Elkano Fishermen's Guild of Getaria has extended its thanks to the town for the support received for Anchovy Day 2026, highlighting the successful performances by Zaria Koru Eskola and the Getaria Music Band.

The Elkano Fishermen's Guild of Getaria has expressed its gratitude to the community for the assistance received in organizing and celebrating Anchovy Day 2026. As in previous editions, this year's event was a great success, and the participation and support of the citizens were fundamental to its achievement.
Among the festive program, two musical performances stood out. On Saturday, the Zaria Koru Eskola choir, from Errenteria, offered a magnificent concert. This choral school, founded in 2015 by pianist, singer, and director Imanol Elizasu, offers much more than singing lessons, and presented a beautiful repertoire of fifteen songs in the church.
On Sunday, it was the turn of the Getaria Music Band. Their performance, held in the Salbatore church, was also excellent. Under the direction of Eneritz Jauregi, they performed several pieces for the public on Sunday at noon. Among them, Puenteaereas (R. Soutullo), Euskal-Festara (J.M. Usandizaga), Victory (J. De Haan), Highlights from Brave (arr. S. O´Loughlin), and Lord of the Dance (arr. F. Bernaets) were heard.
The Guild prepared an extensive program and received numerous contributions for it. For this reason, they wish to thank all participants and hope that next year's Anchovy Day will also be a celebration driven by everyone's collaboration.
