A young basketball player from Azkoitia has been selected for the Spanish U18 national team squad, participating in a preparatory training camp from May 15 to 18 in Azuqueca de Henares.

The player will train under coach Isaac Fernandez and will be one of the sixteen athletes making up the team. These training sessions serve as preparation for the U18 European Championship, which will be held from August 1 to 9 in Stockholm (Sweden).
The Spanish national team will compete in Group C, facing Slovenia, Turkey, and Montenegro. The young player has prior international experience, having been called up to the Spanish national team in both 5x5 and 3x3 formats.
Last year, she participated in the U18 Youth Olympic Festival 3x3 Championship, and in 2023, she won the Junior NBA international tournament with the U15 national team in Abu Dhabi. Despite her youth, the Azkoitia pivot has played significant minutes with her club's first team this season.
