At yesterday's concert, tenor Aitor Garitano and pianist Ignacio Arakistain paid tribute to Basque music, performing works by composers such as Valentin Larrea, commemorating the 150th anniversary of his birth. The performance was very well received, filling the hermitage and earning the artists thunderous applause.
Today, the cycle continues at the Basque Railway Museum to celebrate the centenary of the Urola train. Musician Garazi Navas and writer Maite Lopez will present the itinerant concert-performance 'The Urola train, our companion for a century', on a train journey between the museum and Lasaora. The concert will start at 21:00.
To participate in today's event, tickets must be purchased on the Kulturaz.eus website. The cycle's first performance was by pianist Javier Perez de Azpeitia on July 10th, providing live music for three silent film classics.
