The fifth edition of the popular BIK TRI MARMARRA triathlon will take place this Sunday, September 20th, in Zarautz, affecting the N-634 road between Getaria and Zarautz. Traffic will be interrupted from 11:35 AM to 1:00 PM.
The race will commence at 11:30 AM from Zarautz port, featuring 550 participants in mixed pairs consisting of one male and one female athlete. The course comprises 350 meters of swimming, 7 kilometers of cycling, and 1.7 kilometers of running. The cycling segment will take place on the N-634 road, with a round trip to Iturritxiki, necessitating the closure of the road in both directions.
The event was presented yesterday and has sold out all its available spots for this year. The triathlon has established itself as a starting point for the sport, with 48.2% of the 2025 participants completing their first triathlon here. The competition will not be a traditional race, as there will be no podium or rankings, and participants must complete the entire course together with their partner.
