Through this event, residents from various countries had the opportunity to prepare and share traditional dishes from their places of origin, which were then sampled by the society members. For instance, the Iñurritza society enjoyed dishes from Palestine, Alkartasuna featured cuisine from the Celtic Nations, and Zazpi offered Honduran food.
Similarly, Bolivian gastronomy was highlighted at the Batzoki society, Afghan cuisine at Arrano, Guatemalan at Itxasmendi, and Colombian flavors at Ongi Etorri. The Galeperra society presented dishes from Senegal, while Carballeira served food prepared by Ukrainian residents living in Zarautz.
Finally, Nicaraguan food was tasted at the Kurpil society, and Paraguayan gastronomy at the Extremaduran society Francisco de Zurbarán. Organizers have emphasized the positive atmosphere created at each meal, as part of this municipal initiative aimed at facilitating the integration of newcomers.
“"The good atmosphere generated in each of the meals in this municipal initiative, which aims to facilitate integration among us for all those who have come from outside, must be highlighted."
