The Azpeitia City Council is progressing with the development of a new green space in the Euskal Herria neighborhood, with completion expected by September to enhance local accessibility.

The project focuses on the area surrounding the Izarraizpe nursery school, transforming 2,000 square meters to incorporate more natural elements. Beyond creating a park, the initiative includes upgrading the pedestrian path connecting the neighborhood to the bike lane towards Loiola, ensuring safer and more comfortable transit for both pedestrians and cyclists.
The pedestrian access to the bike lane is currently closed due to the ongoing construction. Upon completion, the area will feature landscaped zones and benches, while also providing an expanded outdoor play area for children attending the Izarraizpe school.
