The Azpeitia City Council, in collaboration with associations Ederto-Harakel, Bertan, and Dendartean, has organized this event. Hamburger enthusiasts will enjoy a special day dedicated to this delicacy, bringing together local bars and restaurants, as well as butcher shops from across Gipuzkoa, to enhance the local culinary scene and showcase the work of establishments.

The organizers have opened the registration period for the competitions. Local bars and restaurants can participate in the “Best Hamburger of Azpeitia” contest, while butcher shops from Gipuzkoa will compete for the “Best Artisan Hamburger” award.

Azpeitia's Market Square will be the main venue for the event. Attendees will be able to taste hamburgers made with ingredients from local butcher shops, highlighting the quality product and the proximity of suppliers. In addition to hamburgers, the Izarraitz Igeri Elkartea swimming club will offer drinks. To complete the festive atmosphere, 80s music will be featured with a live performance by Djsergi_AP. The awards for the “Hanburgesa Festa” competitions will also be presented on this festive day.

Hospitality establishments in Azpeitia will have a unique opportunity to showcase their gastronomic proposals and attract new customers. Participating bars or restaurants must submit their proposals at a maximum price of 20 euros. These must be available to the public from May 18th to 22nd and remain on the menu until at least June 21st. The registration period will remain open until May 14th.
