Azpeitia will host the 91st edition of the Sketchcrawl drawing event for the first time on April 25th, organized by the Euskal Herria Sketchcrawl group, with a full day of activities.

Drawing enthusiasts will gather in Azpeitia on April 25th to celebrate the 91st edition of the Sketchcrawl event. This gathering, organized by the Euskal Herria Sketchcrawl group, is supported by the Adi art and design school and the Azpeitia City Council.

"It is not a competition; each person participates individually, and then, the drawings are shared on social media. It takes place every three months, simultaneously all over the world."

Organizers · Euskal Herria Sketchcrawl
The purpose of this event is to conduct a drawing marathon without a competitive aspect. Participants share their work on social media. In Euskal Herria, the first Sketchcrawl took place in 2012 in Donostia, and since then, it has been organized in various municipalities such as Gasteiz, Iruñea, Bilbao, and Baiona.
Following the principles of the Urban sketchers movement, participants will draw what they see live, narrating stories and experiences of the surroundings. They will be able to use any medium and tool for this. Once the drawings are finished, they will be shared on social media.
The day's program will begin at 10:00 AM at the Basque Railway Museum. At 12:00 PM, they will take a train journey between Azpeitia and Lasao. Lunch will be at 2:00 PM at the Sanagustin cultural center. In the afternoon, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, they will be drawing in Azpeitia's Old Town, and at 6:00 PM, they will say goodbye and take a final photo in the square.
