The town of Azpeitia will have the opportunity to recognize the significant role of its residents in the Real Sociedad's achievement of the Copa title. The tribute event is scheduled for next Thursday, April 23, in the town.

The simple recognition ceremony, set for 7:00 PM, responds to the demand of many residents who believe that the outstanding performance in the Copa final deserved proper acknowledgment from the people of Azpeitia.

The Azpeitia City Council and the football clubs Lagun Onak and Ikasberri, where the foundations of the players' careers were laid, have echoed these sentiments and organized Thursday's gathering. The highlight will be the Real Sociedad goalkeeper greeting fellow townspeople from the town hall balcony.

The goalkeeper will not be alone on the balcony, as another Azpeitian, the Real Sociedad's physical trainer, also played a part in this title. Although his work is more discreet, it is fundamental to the performance of the footballers, and he will also receive recognition for his efforts at Thursday's event, as stated by the Azpeitia City Council.

The organizers of the tribute aim to color Azpeitia's main square in blue and white, encouraging residents to come out dressed in Real Sociedad jerseys.
