In the first match, the Ilunpe team lost 2-0 in Olaberria. In rubber paleta, Oier Alkorta and Telmo Garaizar were defeated 35-32, and in short pala, Eneko Martija and Mikel Sanchez lost 40-29.
In the return leg, Azpeitia needed to win both matches and score fewer points than their opponents. They achieved this: Oier Alkorta and Asier Egiguren Bikutze won 35-20 in rubber paleta, and Eneko Martija and Mikel Sanchezek won 40-30 in short pala.
In total, Azpeitia scored 11 more points than Olaberria in the tie (125-136), thus securing their place in the quarterfinals.
Donostia will be Azpeitia's opponent in the next stage of the Pelota Interpueblos. The date and time are yet to be confirmed, but they will play the first leg at home next weekend.
