Organized by the Azpeitia City Council and the AZTE association, the Basque Country Elektrotxaranga Championship is underway, bringing music and energy to the town's Old Town.

Following the opening last Saturday, the competition continues this weekend with performances by Joseto ta Alayak and Elektrotxufla. The first group will depart at 19:00 from the main square to Perez Arregi Square, while the second will start at 20:30 from Perez Arregi Square back to the town square.
A total of seven groups are competing in the event, which runs until the last Saturday of May. A jury will evaluate all performances to select the winner. This year, for the first time, three prizes will be awarded: 5,000 euros for the winner, 2,000 for the runner-up, and 1,000 for the third place.
In addition to the prize money, the winning group will earn the opportunity to perform during the San Ignacio festivities.
