Azkoitia wins the Basque Interpueblos pelota championship

Azkoitia has been crowned champion of the Basque Interpueblos pelota tournament, defeating Tolosa 2-1 in the final played at the Atano III fronton in San Sebastián.

Azkoitia started strongly, winning the first match. However, Tolosa managed to equalize in the doubles category, intensifying the competition. The final encounter, played as a single match, took on the appearance of a do-or-die contest, and Jokin Aizpuru successfully managed the pressure to deliver his best performance on the court.

In the first game of the final, the singles match, Iker Epelde displayed complete dominance over his opponent from Tolosa, concluding the match with a score of 3-20. In the doubles, however, Marcos Azpiroz and Igor Larrañaga lost with a score of 20-14.
Finally, in the seven-frame category, Azkoitia achieved victory, establishing a seven-point lead over their opponent (13-20). Consequently, by winning two out of the three matches, Azkoitia has claimed its fourth Interpueblos championship title.
