The Santa María la Real parish in Azkoitia is preparing for a special day on April 26, the Fourth Sunday of Easter and the Feast of the Good Shepherd, to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Father Félix Azurmendi's priesthood. The entire community is invited to join in this significant commemoration.

The milestone marks 50 years since Father Azurmendi's ordination, which occurred on January 18. To celebrate this anniversary, the permanent parish council has organized a thanksgiving mass to be held on April 26, starting at 11:00 AM, at the Santa María la Real parish. Organizers emphasize the profound meaning of this event for the community and encourage all parishioners of Azkoitia, from the youngest to the oldest, to attend.

Following the mass, a communal meal will take place at the Joseba restaurant, starting at 2:00 PM. Those interested in attending must register in advance at the parish sacristy. Registration will be open on weekdays, after the 9:30 AM mass until 12:30 PM, or in the afternoons, between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Registration will also be possible on Sundays after the main mass. The menu price will be 50 euros.

This celebration aims to bring the parish community together to acknowledge Father Azurmendi's long career and his pastoral dedication to the people of Azkoitia. The event seeks to highlight the importance of his work and its impact on the religious and social life of the town.
