The documentary features the testimonies of four fathers who have gone through this experience, making visible the suffering and asserting men's right to grieve. The work shows how each of them has faced the situation, questioning the predominant gender perspective in society. Without diminishing the mother's role, the documentary focuses on the fathers' voices and offers a message of hope.
This initiative is part of the objectives of the Equality Department of the Zarautz City Council, which seeks to raise awareness and involve men in the fight against discrimination towards women, highlighting that they also suffer the consequences of machismo.
Following the screening, a discussion will be held where the Zarautz public can delve deeper into the topics covered. The event will feature the documentary's creators and will offer attendees the opportunity to ask questions and share their viewpoints.
The event will be open to the public, with free admission until full capacity is reached. The screening will be in Euskera with Spanish subtitles.
