With approximately 25% of the municipality's residents over 60 years old, the project aims to make older adults the protagonists, although the outcomes will be directed towards all citizens. The initiative also plans to integrate the age perspective into the General Urban Development Plan (PGOU).
To develop the plan, several steps will be taken: forming a steering group with representatives from the neighborhoods of Elortza, La Campa, Dobaran, Meriondo, and Zalbides; conducting surveys and focus groups among citizens; organizing diagnostic walks in the neighborhoods; and establishing a pilot monthly meeting point in the Cultural Center.
Additionally, small actions will be implemented to address memory, well-being, digital literacy, and accessibility. The City Council has indicated that the methodology examines eight areas, including outdoor spaces, transportation, housing, participation, respect, inclusion, and social services.
