The town of Berango is hosting its tenth medieval fair this weekend at Moreaga park and Elexalde field, featuring a new international combat tournament and various cultural activities.

To mark its tenth anniversary, the Berango fair introduces significant new features. The highlight is the first international medieval combat tournament (Buhurt), a full-contact discipline featuring around one hundred participants.
The program begins on Friday afternoon with craft workshops and aerial shows. On Saturday, activities resume at 10:30 AM, with medieval combat demonstrations scheduled for 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Music will play a key role with the Lume de Biqueira bagpipe band, showcasing Celtic and Galician roots. Meanwhile, the historical reenactment group Grehiza will bring the venue to life with period costumes and weaponry.
On Sunday, the fair opens at 11:00 AM. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy theater workshops, storytelling, and traditional craft exhibitions, including demonstrations of leather, stone, wool, and rope work.
