The fourth edition of the Barrika Pirata Trail has achieved significant success, ranking among the best national races and leading the Basque ranking for 10 and 15-kilometer distances, with over a thousand participants.

This year's results have placed the initiative among the best races nationwide and made it a leader in the Basque ranking for distances between ten and fifteen kilometers. This serves as the best guarantee of its short but successful trajectory.
In the men's category, Peio Lagos, from Bizkaia, set an absolute record, lowering the previous edition's mark by more than a minute, with a time of 52 minutes and 59 seconds. Lagos finished more than two minutes ahead of Sendoa Martínez (54:55) and Esteban Serrano (55:26), who was second in the previous edition.
In the women's category, Ane Uriarte took the top spot on the podium. Uriarte was close to Peio Lagos's time, just 14 seconds shy of the previous edition's record (65:10). Nerea Santos (65:57) was the second-place finisher on the podium, and Eider Arantzamendi (69:45) came in third.
Finally, in the walking modality, although not competitive, Josu Andoni Begoña achieved the "first place" with a time of 1 hour, 44 minutes, and 28 seconds.
This year, all participants (over a thousand, 16 of whom are registered in Barrika) completed the race, allowing the Barrika Pirata Trail to take another step forward among the elite races in Euskadi and the country.
