The Euskera Service of the Uribe Kosta Mancomunidad has launched a campaign to encourage residents in the region to communicate with the administration in Basque.

As part of the campaign, posters will be placed within the Mancomunidad and in the municipal spaces of Barrika, Gorliz, Lemoiz, Plentzia, Sopela, and Urduliz. These posters aim to convey a clear, twofold message to the public: to seize the opportunity to express themselves in Basque when interacting with the administration and to encourage them to make Basque their general practice.
The posters are also distinctive in their design and printing technique. They were created by two Graphic Design students who completed internships at the Mancomunidad and printed using the risograph technique. As each color is printed individually, every poster is unique, lending the campaign a special singularity.
In the normalization of the Basque language, citizen usage is of vital importance. Therefore, the campaign invites the public to initiate conversations in Basque and, whenever possible, to maintain interactions in Basque when contacting either the Mancomunidad or the municipal facilities within the region.
Through this initiative, the Mancomunidad's Euskera Service seeks to reaffirm its commitment to promoting the use of Basque and expanding opportunities for its application.
