During summer camps, children will have the opportunity to explore the world of communication in the 'A day as a journalist' workshop, conducted in Basque and in a playful manner.

During the summer camps, children have an excellent opportunity to enjoy leisure time and spark their curiosity about the world. In response, ATARIA has proposed the 'A day as a journalist' workshop, which will be offered in several towns in the region such as Alkiza, Albiztur, Larraul, Aduna, Bidania-Goiatz, and Gaztelu. This workshop is part of the Erakutsiz Ikasi project, aiming to introduce students to local communication in Basque.
The main goal of the session is to introduce journalism and communication to children in a practical and playful way, focusing on the Basque language. Participants will build their own microphones and cameras using recycled materials, and will engage in journalism by inventing news stories and conducting interviews.
ATARIA emphasizes the importance of promoting the language in informal and fun settings. This workshop aims to boost children's self-esteem and teamwork skills by making them protagonists of communication.
