Julen Gabirondo wins Gipuzkoa Scything Championship

In the championship held in Hernani, Gabirondo achieved the fastest and neatest time.

Julen Gabirondo from Urnieta has won the Gipuzkoa Scything Championship in Hernani, with Mikel Lizartza from Tolosa and Jokin Etxeberria from Amasa completing the podium.

Julen Gabirondo, from Urnieta, has won the Gipuzkoa Scything Championship. The competition took place in Hernani, where the winner surpassed other scythemen from the region. The podium was rounded out by Mikel Lizartza from Tolosa and Jokin Etxeberria, who lives in Bedaio and is from Amasa.
Competitors had to cut a 1,000 square meter plot as quickly and neatly as possible. Gabirondo secured the championship with a time of 33.10. Lizartza came in second with 36.39, and Etxeberria third with 37.14.
Following them, Oier Urkola from Anoeta placed fourth with a mark of 40.02. Meanwhile, Amaiur Arrospide from Leaburu and Josu Mendizabal from Zaldibia participated for the first time in this championship, securing fifth and sixth positions respectively, with times of 44.08 and 47.20.
