Three scythe workers from Tolosaldea to compete in Austria's European Team Scythe Championship

Oier Urkola, Alaitz Imaz, and Inge Goikoetxea will compete with the Basque Country's selection at the unofficial championship held in Moosdorf.

On August 16th, three scythe workers from the Almitza Sega Elkartea will compete in the unofficial European Team Scythe Championship in Moosdorf, Austria, representing Euskal Herria: Oier Urkola from Anoeta, Alaitz Imaz from Hernialde, and Inge Goikoetxea from Gaztelu.

This championship takes place in even-numbered years, and teams of four scythe workers participate, divided into four categories: male in small and large scythe categories, and female in the same categories.
This year, teams from five countries will compete: Austria, Bavaria, Switzerland, South Tyrol, and Euskal Herria. Each country can enter as many teams as it wishes in any category. Euskal Herria has formed three teams for this competition.
The men's large scythe team will include: Altzo Jauregi (Zaldibia), Bixente Mitxelena (Oiartzun), Oier Urkola (Anoeta), and Manex Olaiz (Oiartzun). The men's small scythe team will be the same.
The mixed team, which will compete within the men's small scythe category, will be composed of: Alaitz Imaz (Hernialde), Inge Goikoetxea (Gaztelu), Harri Mitxelena (Altsasu), and Jose Luis Olaiz (Oiartzun).
